SPECIALIST DR. ŞERMİN KARAMAN

Dr. Şermin KARAMAN is a psychiatrist with clinical interests in adult psychiatry, supportive psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), sex therapy, trauma therapies, and addiction-related mental health disorders.

She graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2007 and completed her residency training in Psychiatry at Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital between 2009 and 2013.

Throughout her professional career, Dr. Karaman has worked in both public healthcare institutions and private clinical practice. Between 2013 and 2021, she served at the Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic of Çekirge State Hospital. Since 2021, she has continued her clinical work in her private practice in Bursa, Türkiye.

For her specialty thesis, she studied suicidal behavior in young adults, focusing on impulsivity, expression of anger, and family-related factors.

In addition to her clinical psychiatry practice, Dr. Karaman has completed advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dynamic-oriented psychotherapy, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, sex therapy, and trauma therapies. She continues her professional development through ongoing psychotherapy supervision and advanced psychotherapy training programs.
