Brief Information
Abstracts submitted to the TSAVA International Continuing Education Congress will be accepted as oral or poster presentations.
All submissions will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
All abstracts submitted to the TSAVA International Continuing Education Congress will be evaluated under the research category.
The following presentation types are accepted:
- Oral presentation
- Poster presentation
Types of Submissions
The following types of work can be submitted:
- Original research
- Case reports
- Retrospective studies
⚠️ General Rules
- Submitted abstracts must not have been previously presented or published.
- Abstracts must be prepared in both Turkish and English.
- Authors may select the presentation type (oral/poster); however, the Scientific Committee reserves the right to change it.
- 6 abstracts will be selected for oral presentation by the Scientific Committee.
- Oral presentations will be 15 minutes (12 min presentation + 3 min discussion).
- For poster presentations, at least one author; for oral presentations, the presenting author must be registered for the congress.
Writing Guidelines
Abstracts will be published exactly as submitted.
Therefore, authors must carefully check spelling and grammar.
Title:
- Must be written in UPPERCASE
- Must not exceed 25 words
- Abbreviations should not be used
Author Information:
- Full name(s)
- Institution(s)
- Contact details of the corresponding author (email, phone)
Abstract Structure
Abstracts must not exceed 500 words (excluding title) and should include:
- Introduction – Clearly state the objective
- Materials and Methods – Describe in detail
- Results – Must include clear and statistical data
- Conclusion – Emphasize clinical relevance
⚠️ Abstracts containing statements such as “results will be presented later” will not be accepted.
Keywords
- Minimum 3, maximum 5
- Turkish: Türkiye Bilim Terimleri
- English: Index Medicus (MeSH)

⚖️ Ethical and Legal Requirements
- Ethical approval is mandatory
- Institution name and approval date must be stated
- Conflicts of interest must be disclosed
- Patient identity, microchip numbers, or identifiable data must not be included
- Drugs must be referred to by generic names, not brand names
Author Limitations
- A maximum of 5 abstracts per author
- A maximum of 3 presentations per presenting author
Acceptance and Publication
- Submission implies consent for publication
- Abstracts will be published in the congress book as submitted
- The organizers reserve the right to reject abstracts not complying with the rules

Poster Preparation and Display Rules
The following rules apply to all posters exhibited at the congress to ensure scientific integrity, readability, and equal evaluation.

Poster size and format
- Posters must be prepared in A0 size (84.1 × 118.9 cm) and portrait orientation.
- Landscape posters or posters prepared in a different size may not fit the display boards and may be rejected.
- The printed poster must be brought to the congress venue by the corresponding author or one of the co-authors.

Poster language
- Posters may be prepared in Turkish or English.
- The poster title, author names, and affiliations must be stated clearly and in full.
- Turkish posters are also encouraged to include an English title and English keywords.

Poster content
Research posters should include the following sections wherever possible:
- Title
- Author names and affiliations
- Corresponding author’s contact details
- Introduction and aim
- Materials and methods
- Results
- Discussion and conclusion
- References
- Ethics committee approval, if applicable
- Conflict of interest and funding statement
Case reports may use the following headings: introduction, case description, clinical findings, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and outcome.

Visual layout and readability
- The poster should be comfortably readable from approximately 1–1.5 metres.
- A minimum of 60 pt for the title and 24 pt for body text is recommended.
- Use a simple, legible typeface and prefer tables, graphs, figures, and images over long blocks of text.
- Images must be of sufficient resolution; table and figure captions must remain readable.
- Personal information that could identify a patient or animal owner must not be included.

Scientific and ethical responsibility
- Authors are responsible for the scientific accuracy, originality, and language of the poster.
- Text, tables, figures, and images taken from other sources must be cited appropriately.
- Ethics committee approval must be stated on the poster where required.
- Conflicts of interest and financial support must be disclosed clearly.
- Commercial or advertising content unrelated to the scientific material is not permitted.

Poster number, mounting, and display
- Accepted posters are grouped by scientific topic and listed alphabetically by the corresponding author’s surname within each group.
- Each abstract is assigned a poster number in the form P-01, P-02, P-03. The number is sent to the corresponding author in the acceptance email.
- The poster number must appear clearly in the upper-right corner of the printed poster.
- Posters may be mounted only on the numbered board assigned to them.
- Mounting and removal must be completed within the hours announced in the programme. Only fixing materials approved by the organisation may be used.
- The Organising Committee is not responsible for posters left on the boards after the removal time.

Congress registration and poster evaluation
- At least one author must be registered for the congress for an accepted poster to be displayed.
- The presenting author is expected to be present at the poster during the announced evaluation time.
- The poster evaluation programme, poster area, and mounting/removal hours will be announced before the congress.
- If congress registration is not completed or the poster is not displayed within the specified period, the abstract may be withdrawn from the programme and the abstract book.

Digital poster submission
- The final digital copy of the poster must be prepared as a PDF.
- The file name must follow the format “Poster number_Corresponding author’s name surname”. Example: P-07_Hakki Seckin Cetin.pdf
- The digital file must be sent to [email protected] no later than 15 October 2026.
- The content of the digital file and the printed poster displayed at the congress must be identical.
