Abstract

All papers sent to the congress will be evaluated in the research category.

Paper Submission Rules:

  • 18th TSAVA International Continuing Education Congress papers will be accepted as posters and oral presentations.
  • Original studies, case reports, retrospective studies can be sent as papers.
  • Papers sent to the congress must not have been presented or published before.
  • Oral and poster abstracts will be prepared in Turkish and English.
  • Oral or Poster can be selected as the presentation method. However, depending on the scientific program and the content of the paper, the Scientific Committee may change the way the paper is presented.
  • The Congress Scientific Committee will select 6 oral presentations to be presented by evaluating features such as content and presentation style. Selected oral presentations must be completed within 15 minutes, including a 2-3 minute question-answer section.
  • At least one of the authors of accepted poster presentations and the presenter of oral presentations must complete the congress registration process.
  • No changes/corrections will be made in the written language of the papers accepted to be presented at the congress. The papers sent by the authors will be included in the congress booklet as they are. Papers that do not comply with grammatical rules and have spelling errors may be rejected by the committee.
  • The same person may submit up to 5 abstracts regardless of presenting author.
  • The same person may serve as the presenting author on up to 3 abstracts.
  • Submission of an abstract acknowledges your acceptance for the abstract to be published in the official congress publications.
  • The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract and agree to its submission, before submitting the abstracts. Responsibility lies with the presenting author.
  • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Abstract submitters will be required to disclose any conflict ofinterest in the submission form/e-mail.
  • The study must be approved by the Ethics Committee, the name of the approving institution and the date of approval must be stated.
  • Abbreviations should not be used in the title and should reflect the study.
  • Abstract title – must be in UPPER CASE and limited to 25 words. Please submit symbols as words.
  • The names (name-surname) and institutions of the authors should be written under the title of the paper. For communication, the e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers of the corresponding author must be included.
  • A maximum of 2 tables and 2 graphics are allowed in the papers, both of them must be simple and understandable.
  • Presentation summaries should not exceed 500 words excluding the title and should include the following sections:
    • Introduction: General information about the study should be given and the purpose of the study should be clearly stated.
    • Material and Method: The choice of material should be defined and the method should be explained in detail.
    • Findings: Data should be clearly explained and statistical data should be presented. Papers containing phrases such as "the findings will be discussed in the future" or "will be presented later" will definitely not be accepted.
    • Discussion and Conclusion: The result of the study should be stated clearly. It should not contain comparisons or comments with the literature. The clinical significance of the study results should be emphasized.
  • The number of keywords should not to be less than 3 and more than 5.
  • Turkish keywords must be checked from "Turkish Science Terms", English keywords must be checked from the Medical Subject Headings of Index Medicus.
  • Use only standart abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears.
  • Use generic names of drugs. The presentation must be balanced and contain no commercial promotional content.
  • Submissions may not contain patient names, microchip ID numbers, or other identifying information.
  • Please contact us if you have not received confirmation that your abstract has been submitted.
  • Posters should be 90 x 120 cm in size and easily readable when viewed from the front.
  • The official languages of the congress are Turkish and English. Turkish should be used as the paper presentation language.
  • Applications made after 02.09.2024  will not be accepted.

Abstract Submitters’ Declaration

It is confirmed that the author agrees to the following upon abstract submission.

  1. I confirm that I previewed this abstract and that all information is correct. I accept that the content of this abstract cannot be modified or corrected after final submission and I am aware that it will be published exactly as submitted.
  2. Submission of the abstract constitutes my consent to publication (e.g. Congress website, program, other promotions, etc.)
  3. As the Abstract Submitter, I warrant and represent that I am the sole owner or have the rights to all the information and content (“Content”) provided to TSAVA 2024.
  4. Association and organization company (Hereafter: “The Organizers”). The publication of the abstract does not infringe any third-party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.
  5. As the Abstract Submitter, I grant the Organizers a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.
  6. I understand that the presenting author must be a registered participant.
  7. The Organizers reserve the right to remove from any publication an abstract that does not comply with the above.
  8. I understand that I must select a specific topic for my abstract allocation. Although the Committee will work hard to honor this selection, this cannot be guaranteed. The Committee reserves the right to change the Topic under which the abstract was originally submitted.
  9. I herewith confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.
