SIMONE KIRBY

Dr. Simone Kirby, Dipl.EVDC, PgCert VetEd, FHEA, MRCVS, is an EBVS and RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry and Head of Dentistry at The Ralph Veterinary Referral Centre (UK). She graduated from Freie Universität Berlin in 1992 and completed her residency in Veterinary Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania, becoming a Diplomate of the European Veterinary Dental College (EVDC) in 2004.

Dr. Kirby has extensive experience in referral dentistry and maxillofacial surgery and has played a major role in postgraduate veterinary education. She has directed numerous practical dentistry courses and wet labs across Europe and has served in multiple leadership roles within the EVDC and the British Veterinary Dental Association, including President of the BVDA.

An internationally invited lecturer, her work focuses on improving standards of dental care in small animal practice through practical education, clinical training, and evidence-based approaches. She has authored scientific publications and contributed chapters to major veterinary dentistry textbooks.
