Savaş Öztürk

Veterinary Surgery

Born on November 26, 1971, in Tuzluca/Iğdır.

He completed his primary education at Gaziler Primary School in Gaziler Village, Tuzluca, his middle school education at Kağızman High School in Kağızman/Kars, and his high school education at Aydınlıkevler İnönü High School in Ankara.

In 1994, he graduated from Kafkas University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and started working as a research assistant the same year.

In 2001, he completed his Ph.D. in the Department of Surgery at Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

In 2003, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at Kafkas University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

In 2005, he earned the title of Associate Professor.

Between 2006-2010, he served as the Director of Kağızman Vocational School at Kafkas University.

In 2011, he was appointed as a Professor in the Department of Surgery at Kafkas University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

In 2014, he received the Veterinary Surgery Association Encouragement Award and the Commendable Work Award from the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA).

He has numerous scientific articles published in international and national journals.

He is also a member of MESAM and MÜYORBİR with his albums and works as a composer, lyricist, and performer with his wife, Sevgi Öztürk.

 

He left academia in 2023 and began working as a manager at the Kafkasya Veterinary Pharmaceutical Warehouse in 2024, where he still continues to serve.
