PROF. DR. MUSTAFA ARICAN

Professor Dr. Mustafa Arıcan graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and began his academic career at the same institution as a research assistant in 1989. He pursued his doctoral studies abroad and obtained his PhD from the University of Liverpool Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.

He was appointed Assistant Professor in 1997, Associate Professor in 1999, and Professor in 2005 at Selçuk University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Surgery. Throughout his academic career, he has made significant contributions to veterinary science, with an extensive record of publications and scientific presentations both nationally and internationally.

Professor Arıcan has authored 135 scientific articles and presented numerous papers at international and national congresses. He is also the author of several key veterinary textbooks, including works on general radiology, diagnostic radiography, orthopedics, traumatology, and abdominal surgery in small animals.

He has completed over 40 research projects supported by BAP and TÜBİTAK and has supervised multiple PhD and MSc students. His academic excellence has been recognized with international awards, including first prizes at SEVC Barcelona (2015) and the World Veterinary Congress in Korea (2017).
