PROF. DR. KEREM URAL

Prof. Dr. Kerem URAL graduated from TED Ankara College in 1994 and earned his veterinary degree from Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. In the same year, he commenced his PhD studies in the Department of Veterinary Internal Medicine at Ankara University, where he served as a Research Assistant until 2006.

He was appointed Assistant Professor in 2008, Associate Professor in 2011, and Full Professor in 2016. He currently serves as Professor of Veterinary Internal Medicine at Aydın Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Throughout his academic career, Prof. Ural has participated in clinical and research activities in Germany, Spain, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. As an invited speaker, he has delivered lectures at numerous national and international congresses, symposiums, and scientific meetings.

He has contributed to more than 300 scientific publications and over 400 oral and poster presentations. Between 2016 and 2020, he served as Head of the Department of Clinical Sciences and the Department of Internal Medicine, during which he contributed to three published books and supervised more than 70 research projects.

Prof. Ural has also served as advisor for over 60 MSc and PhD theses. His primary areas of interest include veterinary gastroenterology and dermatology, the gut–brain axis, nutraceuticals, phytotherapy, fecal microbiota transplantation, probiotics, and clinical microbiome analysis.
