PROF. DR. MURAT ŞAROĞLU

Prof. Dr. Murat ŞAROĞLU was born in Ankara, Türkiye, in 1971. He graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.

In the same year, he started his doctoral training in the Department of Surgery at Istanbul University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. His growing interest in ophthalmology led him to focus his doctoral studies on ocular diseases. During his PhD training, he completed a research period at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, working with internationally recognized specialists in veterinary ophthalmology. He received his PhD degree in Veterinary Surgery in 1999.

Prof. Şaroğlu obtained the title of Associate Professor in 2005 and was promoted to Professor in 2012. Throughout his academic career, he has focused primarily on veterinary ophthalmology, ocular surgery, corneal diseases, cataract surgery, retinal disorders, and advanced diagnostic techniques in eye diseases.

In addition to numerous national and international scientific publications, he has contributed extensively to postgraduate education and professional training programs. He is recognized as one of the pioneering figures in the development of veterinary ophthalmology in Türkiye.

Since 2014, he has continued his clinical activities through a practice dedicated exclusively to veterinary ophthalmology, where he receives referral cases from across Türkiye and neighboring countries.
