Successful management of ocular diseases relies on a systematic ophthalmic examination and the effective use of appropriate diagnostic imaging techniques. However, in daily clinical practice, eye examinations are often limited, and the diagnostic potential of ultrasonography for evaluating ocular structures remains underutilized.
This workshop will provide a hands-on introduction to fundamental ophthalmic examination techniques and the clinical application of ocular ultrasonography in small animals. Participants will gain practical knowledge and experience in the assessment of ocular anatomy, basic ophthalmic examination methods, and ultrasonographic evaluation of the lens, vitreous body, retina, and retrobulbar region.
Through an interactive format combining theoretical concepts, clinical case examples, and practical exercises, the workshop will focus on a systematic diagnostic approach to ocular diseases and the interpretation of imaging findings.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Prof. Dr. Murat Şaroğlu has been actively involved in both clinical practice and academic research in the field of veterinary ophthalmology for many years.
