DR. ÜMİT ÖZCAN

Assistant Professor Ümit ÖZCAN, DVM, PhD, serves as an academic staff member at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. After completing both his veterinary degree and doctoral education at Ondokuz Mayıs University, he has continued his academic and clinical work in the field of small animal medicine.

His main areas of interest include the clinical interpretation of laboratory data in cats and dogs, the role of complete blood count and biochemical parameters in disease processes, inflammatory markers, and case-based clinical evaluation.

In his educational activities, Dr. Özcan aims to integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical practice. In both theoretical and practical trainings for students and clinicians, he emphasizes case-based thinking and practical clinical decision-making processes.

Through his academic, clinical, and educational work, Dr. Özcan contributes to the development of a clinically oriented approach in companion animal internal medicine.
