LAURENT LOCQUET

SPEAKER BIO

Dr. Laurent Locquet is a European Specialist in Veterinary Cardiology currently working as an independent veterinary cardiology consultant. He graduated magna cum laude from Ghent University (Belgium) and completed a rotating internship at Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists, followed by a European Residency in Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) at Ghent University.

In 2022, he obtained the European Diploma in Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology) and RCVS Specialist recognition. Prior to becoming self-employed, Dr. Locquet worked as a cardiology specialist at Dick White Referrals (UK) and served as an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham.

He has additional training in extracorporeal circulation technology as a certified perfusionist and has completed postgraduate programs in cardiology and emergency medicine. His clinical and academic interests focus on advanced cardiac diagnostics, management of complex cardiac diseases, and translational cardiology bridging veterinary and human medicine.

Dr. Locquet actively publishes in international journals and lectures at national and international conferences across both veterinary and human medical fields.
