PROF. DR. MURAT SARIERLER

Professor Dr. Murat SARIERLER graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 and completed his PhD in Surgery at the same institution in 1999. He continued his academic career at Adnan Menderes University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Surgery, where he was appointed Assistant Professor in 2000, Associate Professor in 2005, and Professor in 2011.

Throughout his academic career, Professor SARIERLER has held numerous key leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Surgery, Head of Clinical Sciences, Chair of the Local Ethics Committee for Animal Experiments, Member of the Technopark Board, and Vice President of the Science Board. He has an extensive publication record in national and international journals, has presented widely at scientific meetings, supervised numerous doctoral and master’s theses, and actively contributed to many research projects supported by BAP and TÜBİTAK.

Between 2008 and 2011, he served as a member of the Advisory Board of TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), within the Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Research Support Group (TOVAG)—a highly prestigious role contributing to national research strategy and the advancement of veterinary sciences.

His primary areas of expertise include diagnostic imaging in small animals—such as radiology, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasonography, endoscopy, and arthroscopy—as well as orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Combining clinical excellence with academic productivity, Professor SARIERLER has also served as a visiting academic in several European countries and has received advanced international training in arthroscopy (Ghent University, Belgium) and computed tomography (ESAVS, Novara, Italy).
